Dieck Elementary Office is sponsoring the 2024-25 SaveAround fundraising sale to raise funds!
SaveAround is a local coupon book and mobile app that offers $$Thousands$$ in Savings to local/national merchants in our area. We will earn up to 50% profit for every book sold!!

The book sells for just $25 and you will find that it pays for itself after using it just 2 or 3 times.

Please return the order form and payment for all orders (or your unsold book) If only one book was sold, use the original book to fill your order and return only the money and order form. If multiple books were sold, keep the original book and additional books will be sent home with your child.

Dieck & Syring Culver's Dinner night is Tuesday, Dec. 3! Please consider joining us for dinner! All proceeds will go directly to your PTO!
Dieck Art Club created crinkle maps. The kids crinkled a piece of paper and followed crinkles to form maps. Each map is unique in this aspect. This lesson was to teach a fundamental skill in art: To see shapes where one wouldn't normally see shapes. Every object around us has hidden building blocks of shapes.

You have never seen hustle and competition like Dieck staff racing to find hidden turkeys and beat each other to the prize basket before school begins! Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
On December 3rd, Dieck Elementary is hosting NED's Resiliency Ride. This assembly is a character education program that centers around three important messages that have lifelong relevance: Never give up, Encourage others and Do your best. During the assembly, students will learn about the importance of these three life skills while also enjoying storytelling, magic, humor and yo-yo tricks. Mrs. Milarch's 3rd grade class showed gratitude and kindness to the Dieck Elementary Office Staff this morning.
The Dieck Elementary Giving Tree is located on the window near the main office entrance. Dieck's food club had some candy can challenges, but they improvised and finished their snowman sleighs with graham crackers, chocolate, candy canes, marshmallows and other small treats. They even got to use edible markers!
Mrs. Johnsons's students read a book about dinosaurs. They did some writing and drew their dinosaurs!
Dieck Engineering and robotics club had fun learning about this simple robot!
Mrs. Milarch's 3rd grade class learned about Michigan history and created a colorful timeline display describing important events.
Dieck Art club learned about the color wheel and sketched a cute squish-mellow!
Thanksgiving Gratitude is on display at Dieck Elementary!
Dear Families,
Winter is upon us, and we’re excited for all the joys this season brings! As the temperatures drop, we want to ensure our students can enjoy their time outside while staying safe and warm. Students will go outside for recess every day unless it’s raining or the “real feel” temperature drops below zero degrees. To keep them comfortable, please send them to school each day with:
A warm coat
Boots
Gloves or mittens
A hat
Snowpants (These are even more important once the snow arrives!)
*Be sure to label them because kids frequently lose them!
These items are essential for outdoor play and a fun, active winter experience. If you have any questions or need assistance with winter gear, don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher.

The Dieck Kindness Club created a kindness tree for students and staff to add acts of kindness and thoughts of gratitude throughout November. We are excited to see it grow with many leaves!
Mrs. Kelly's 5th grade classes used their creativity and ingenuity to fun, interactive turkey traps during stem class!
True learning often looks a little messy-and that's a good thing! When students engage in visible learning, critical thinking, and higher order thinking skills it can often feel challenging, complex, and even a bit chaotic. This messiness is a sign of learning in action. It shows we are wrestling with ideas, asking questions, and pushing to understand more deeply. Embrace the learning process and keep a growth mindset! If it looks like hard work it means we are learning together!

It was wonderful to see so many families engaged in conversations about their child’s growth and learning. Your commitment to supporting your child’s academic and social-emotional needs makes a real difference in their school experience, and we’re so grateful to have such a strong partnership with you.
A huge thank you as well to our dedicated teachers, who thoughtfully prepared for conferences and took the time to communicate each student's unique strengths and areas of growth. Your dedication to open communication fosters trust and supports our students’ success in ways that extend far beyond the classroom.
To our amazing PTO and the parent volunteers who provided dinner from El Pateros and filled the staff lounge with delicious treats—thank you! Your support and kindness made these days easier and brighter for our teachers, who greatly appreciated the thoughtful gestures.
Parent-Teacher Conferences are a vital part of our work together as they allow us to share valuable insights, celebrate progress, and identify areas for growth. This collaboration is key to helping our students thrive, and we couldn’t do it without the involvement of each of you.
