New Visitor Management System Boosts School Safety!
Over the past months, the Swartz Creek Community Schools District has rolled out a new Visitor Management System at all our school buildings. At the core of this new system is the reliance on our school families' cooperation with presenting front office staff with a Michigan Driverβs License, State identification, or government-issued photo identification for the digital screening process when seeking to enter the building for parent conferences, classroom parties, and other special events that may take place during a school day.
Through the cooperation of our parents, guardians, and extended family members, Swartz Creek Schools can benefit the entire school community in the following ways:
Enhanced Security - Our system quickly screens personnel to ensure that only authorized visitors can access the building during the school day when students and staff are meeting.
Emergency Management - During emergency situations, the system notifies school leaders, police, and fire safety personnel of visitors who are in the building and may need assistance.
Improved Communications - Our system improves coordination for assisting families with students in multiple buildings as the system allows all buildings to communicate any specialized arrangements quickly..
Thank you again to our families for your cooperation in keeping all our children safe each day! Please contact Safety Director Kevin Klaeren (kklaeren@swcrk.org) with any questions.
To better protect our students and staff, all visitors must check in at the school office and show a valid, state-issued driver's license, state-issued ID, or government-issued ID with photo.
