π― Perseverance in Action! π―
Mrs. Harbert's 5th grade class took on a Positivity Project challenge, working in teams to complete Bingo cards that demonstrated their understanding of perseverance in daily life.
Students created lists, drawings, and awards to call "Bingo" and share their ideas. Their creativity and teamwork were truly impressive.
A snapshot of their work is included. Great job, 5th graders! π

No school today, 2-6-25 due to icy road conditions. Please stay safe!

Students at Dieck Elementary enjoyed touring the Celebration of Cultural Diversity learning stations in the Maker Space. Mrs. Cocke's 5th grade group tied it into their nonfiction expository writing unit. They have been researching places they are curious about. This allowed them to learn about traditions and culture in 7 different countries!

Mrs. Kelly's Stem classes enjoyed a challenge activity to create tin foil boats that sparked their interest in engineering skills and physics topics such as buoyancy and density. This project supported their creativity, critical thinking, and perseverance to create the best designs.

Winter weather can bring icy conditions on the playground which can be a bummer, but students enjoyed indoor recess through creative, collaborative play.

Mr. Sheick's gym classes practiced new skills with mindfulness, stability and stretching, and physical conditioning through yoga, gymnastics, and wrestling.

Mrs. Jacob's art classes enjoyed using 3D pens to create green turtle projects!

Shout out to Dieck Elementary's rock star custodian who is ALWAYS ready and willing to help and take care of our building needs! Yesterday he stepped right up to salt between each car to make sure our parking lot was safe for everyone!

Dieck Elementary celebrated Positivity Project Winners today. These students demonstrated social intelligence and prudence.
